It's not in the mod, no. Though I saw pictures and discussion about it on the Moddb page and I know it's on the devs list, so if everything works out the possibility is high for it being implemented in a coming update or 1.3.

So the ships will get a random "elevation" between "X-Y" when entering a battle.
