Example: I once was playing this mod (non-RAW) where this team had literally no starting forces (except for level 1 space stations and barracks and Tech 1), and within the first day they had several battleships and tons land forces.
To you other point, the Republic is actually mostly equal to the CIS and in some cases much stronger. If anything the CIS needs a buff, not the Republic. And this is from a hardcore Republic fan.
excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is the "Core Assault GC"? I get that is the main reason of my defeats, but it doesn't explain the instant total-loss that I received without being able to fight. Also I understand that most clone troops feel stronger than their CIS counterpart (quality over quantity of course), but my problem is being able to survive their tank (since they have a longer range than the clone hover-tanks) and droideka (I always confuse if they need to be treated as infantry or vehicles) spam.
Still, glad to have a fellow Republic fan to discuss this with :)
To defeat CIS vehicles use turbolaser towers where you can and artillery where you can't. Sabre tanks are also really good spamable vehicles for general use and AT-TEs are good front line tanks. Use clones as sacrifices to keep the enemy distracted, then hit them with the artillery and your tanks.
I think the AI hordes units units until your final days (both from your win and Coruscant's life) and then just sends them all in at once. It is like the Battle of Bulge from World War II, except the attacking force wins.
