Same problem.

I give up now after i tried everything that came to my mind.
I even made the game working with more Squadmates be editing the ini manually, but then the squad selection is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. I am no modder, anything but simple ini editeding is beyond me.
Some small update or something must have changed something.
I hope someday it may get updated, until then its goodbye Xcom for me.

delete the contents main config file in the mygames/xcom folder. they will refill once you boot the game

Stopped working for me as well. Started a new campaign and had the 12 soldiers as expected, but after doing the introduction mission with the Reapers and Skirmishers, I could no longer field 12-man squads and am stuck with the regular 4.

Did everything I could to fix it as OP listed. No luck.

EDIT: Nevermind, it just suddenly started working now. No idea what I did other than downloading some voice packs...

Just happened to me randomly too , it also affects earlier saves where the bug wasn't there
Also it looks like this also disabled detailed soldiers list and smooth scrolling mods from working

Ill try and just delete individual configs next time to try n find the culprit

I managed to miraculously fix the issue by removing all my subscribed mods, reinstalling XCOM2 then re-subscribing. I think XCOM 2 has an issue with removing unsubscribed addons from a users system and they have to be manually disabled through launcher or deleting their files.

I'd appreciate to know. I love this mod, but it hasn't worked since mission 2 (on mission 55 like now...)

Yes the entire config folder , but as i said , if i encounter it again ill try each one indidually

same here. but it is not enough only to delete the config files. 1. delete config files. 2. remove mod. 3. reinstall mod. 4. always put this mod with the highest ordernumber (AML). start new campaign. -> still missing. 5. delete config files again. 6. restart game with previous save game.. works. really painful. I have 679 mods running take a while to get it runnig with the mod#

This mod recently did the same thing on me. Stopped showing more than 4 members, stopped showing extra inventory slots, stopped showing skills and buttons to unequip barracks and the like. Read on here someone uninstalled game then re-installed to fix it along with all their addons. Same thing did work to fix mine, however I did not uninstall and reinstall all the addons, as when you uninstall the game it deletes the addons along with the game, when you redownload game it automatically redownloads all the addons you were subscribed to before the uninstall... so doing that part isn't necessary. Simply uninstall game... go to 'my ganes' folder in documents and delete the XCOM 2 Folder, then reinstall game.

I was pushed with the same problem. This mod just stopped working. But when I delete the Config folder in My games then it starts working again. And this should be done every time I enter the game. WHAT IS NONSENSE ????? Probably have to look for an analog mod, if there is one at all.

I don't have More Squad Size Upgrades - WotC MOD installed. Still haven't figured out how to get mine to work - I've done all the suggestions here though...
