Bug Reports Thread, and How to Submit an Error Log
If you haven't posted a log before, please follow these instructions I stole from Starbound's discord:

Make sure Starbound has been completely closed, or is still closed after a crash.

To find Starbound's files through Steam:
- Right-click Starbound from your Steam library
- Click 'Properties'
- Click the 'Local Files' tab
- Click the 'Browse Local Files' button
- Enter the 'Storage' folder
- If on Windows, do this to enable file name extensions: https://i.imgur.com/HMKsNYb.png

- Open Starbound.log in Notepad++ or similar https://i.imgur.com/913PMfv.png

- Right click, click "Select All", then copy the contents onto http://pastebin.com/ - Put the link to the log here or the mod's main comments section.

Did you enable file extensions? There are a few backups of the log that will look like "Starbound.log" if file extensions are disabled. You should be able to open it with just notepad.

Just make sure you have run into the bug the last time the game was open. The log gets cleared every time the game starts.
https://pastebin.com/JWGYXkJH So I'm not actually getting crash-level issues from it, but as i was looking through my logs for modding, i found that apparently theres some issues with the solcirclelamps! i dont remember their actual ingame name so im just gonna use the item id.

(yes i know i have a lot of mods)

When I added more lamp colors, I merged the icons together into one sprite sheet. The log is saying that only the first color on the sheet is working for you.

If your Red Crystal Lamp has an orange icon, then you might have a mod that is overwriting the icon with an old version.
Hey, I'm seeing these errors spammed in our server log:

[Warn] Unique status effect 'satkyterranRundust' not found in status effect database

and

[Warn] Unique status effect 'satkyterran_fireblock' not found in status effect database

Are those part of your mod?

Hmm. The Kyterran are a species I'm working on. They are part of the Saturnians mod as NPC's, but most of what I'm working on is separate right now. I merged in some of my changes two updates ago, but I forgot those effects.
I'm also having the issue with the circle lamps appearing as blank icons. Sounds like it is already figured out though. https://pastebin.com/kgbti6yf
Short stupid question: does this mod add a weapon with the ID "ironpulsar"?
I just ask because everytime i open the weapon tap at my anvil the game crashes and i get this line at the end of the log as the last [Error]:
[Error] Application: exception thrown, shutting down: (ItemException) No such item 'ironpulsar'

p.s. could be also compatibility error since i have 650+ mods (yeah i am kinda crazy) but when i googled "starbound modding iron pulsar" one of the mods showing in the video results where the Satunians sadly

Nope, almost all of this mod's IDs start with "sat" or "saturn"

This is due to a correlation with a similar pastebin I found here: https://pastebin.com/dWSa2dje

Description: Certain NPCs die, instantly, and I get a guard dialog error. Due to the nature of the error I cannot say which mod for sure is the cause. So using the fact that a similar error appears in paste 2, I am using it to find a correlation. (This is especially prevalent in Saturnian villages, where all but the shop keeps, explode..., with any kind of interaction.)

I don't think it was my mod, I wasn't having the same sort of problem during testing.

This:

Caused by: (JsonParsingException) Cannot parse json file: /dialog/guard.config

is caused by a mod patching dialog wrong. It could be as simple as a missing or extra comma.

In the wasp-mimicking villages, the villagers there are treated like guards, and their dialog is stored in guard.config. A mod breaking "guard.config" causes them (and all guard NPCs) to die as soon as they speak.

I went through my dialog files with a patch tester [helmet.kafuka.org] and didn't find any errors.
i cant fly if im wearing wings

Flying isn't a part of this mod. The wings have a low gravity/no fall damage effect. Frackin Races gives both moths a flight tech, but I think my wing effect and their flying effect cancel each other out.

If you have a moth icon in your status effects labeled "Featherweight", that's my mod's wing effect.

If you have a butterfly icon in your status effects, that's the Frackin Races effect.

If you're using Frackin Races, you should keep the wings in the cosmetic slot so both effects are never active at the same time.
I can't spawn the Librarian tenant,in that room i've put 2 ebony desks,2 ebony root chairs,2 Leopard banners adn 16 small scrolls shelves,so i tought to fulfill the criteria i saw in the Solaleil tenant guide,but a random Villager class tenant will show up instead,i'm missing something? It's bugged or i'm using the wrong 'Knowledge' furnitures?

Hmm. I'm not sure what could be going on. I spawned in a librarian using the objects you listed. The only thing I could think of is that tenants also need a door and a light, but if you were missing those, you shouldn't have any villagers showing up at all.
