Then, after *painstakingly* re-enabling those recently installed add-ons, one or two at a time, and reloading a map, I was finally able to arrive to the conclusion this bug was caused by... having Midgame Workshop Hotloader active.

I positively realized it *was* that add-on, because having it active *also* ended up causing bugs with Stop Motion Helper and another different add-on that had to do with handling player models.
So... ja. I have now finally identified the cause of this bug.
