Okay? First of all, you are using the old mod. Second of all, you need a race extender to use any modded race. Please subscribe to the new one.

I apologize for the roughness of my previous response. I just got done with schoolwork and was feeling rather frustrated.

Only ship pets would make good playable races, tbh. There's a reason the chicken and fennix mods are on hiatus.

And going along with that, I don't think I will either as making non-humanoid races is incredibly difficult. Also, Poptops would need a LOT of custom sprite work just to make them semi-playable. I just don't have the time or patience to tackle another non-human playable species at this time.
