ST: New Horizons is a community-driven project aiming to deliver a fantastic Star Trek game experience.

New Horizons is a total conversion of Stellaris, with a number of canon static maps full of empires, ships, species and events from the Star Trek universe. Prepare to relive your favorite Episodes and movies!

This mod will guide you through the entire Star Trek timeline, starting in 2150 a few years before the launch of the NX-01, up to the year 2400 and beyond. Explore strange new worlds, meet new civilizations, research the unknown, form a new Federation and prepare to fight the upcoming threats to the galaxy.

Please note that ST: New Horizons is still in development and therefore usually not compatible with other mods. We strongly recommend deactivating other mods before playing New Horizons.

Basic Troubleshooting

Only keep these mods active in your playset:
  • Star Trek: New Horizons
  • TNG Submod (optional) – Use only if you want to play from 2300 onwards. Make sure to pick a "TNG" map ingame.
  • One STNH UI Submod (optional) – Do not activate multiple UI mods, this will cause crashes.
  • Music Mod (optional)




System Requirements
  • 16 GB RAM minimum. Less can cause crashes when loading.
  • Custom empires may also cause crashes – delete or deactivate them.

Still having the issue where other empires' techs appear, even when starting a new game

Looks like all dormant races (including sleeping giants) are starting active now. As the Borg, both the Voth and Qomar started expanding immediately and the El Aurians began active as well, expanding into about 30 systems.

Well i'm pleased with a quick hotfix is out fixing the tech issue at the start of the game. I went back to a save before the tech tree issue since today's update and still have other empire tech in my research options. Would i require a new start as i have already have a few hours in my save at the year 2224.

@Paradoxxx ja danke für die info. leider sind das zu wenig informationen, als das wir da was machen könnten. kannst du uns bitte mehr informationen geben. welche version von stellaris, der mod, welche zusätzlichen mods, welche fraktion, errorlog usw.
nur dann können wir dem nachgehen. am besten machst du ein posting auf unserem discord. da können wir das alles schön einfach einsehen und fragen stellen.

ich wollte mitteilen das ich nur mit der aktuellsten Version 2 Spielstände gestartet hatte, beide male gingen mir diese Spielstände verloren weil nach 2 stunden Spielzeit das spiel abstürzt. hatte ich vorher bei der alten Version nicht. ich hoffe man kann diesen Fehler beheben. danke :)

I'm currently playing as United Earth, i don't know if its the same for other empire starts but there is some slight visual glitches when looking at another empires fleet IE The Vulcans, the destroyer and patrol craft icons kind of blend into one and the science ship weapon options, the second phaser option is stuck behind the armour/utility option, its resolvable by auto completing the build.

I don't know if this helps or is the current place to report/type this.

@Gentleman Driver Yeah i noticed other empires tech in my research options as well after the second time i loaded to play a save since update. I look forward to the Hotfix as i imagine its the same for other Ai empires ect. Don't want a fleet of Borg cubes decloaking on you.

if there is console command workaround for the neutral zone to be auto created like it was im ok with that, i used console to work around the resort world one
