Medieval Overhaul : Hornetkeeping

Beskrivning

A small Medieval Overhaul module introducing a new research to build apiaries for the deathstingers in order to produce hornet honey. Hives will now drop larvae when destroyed, which can be used to build said apiaries.

Also went on to add a deathstinger jar and the hornet mead, a weapon using deathstingers and a strong drink made from their honey.

Hopefully i didn't forget anything in there-

Consider liking and subscribing, it helps me grow and is really appreciated!

Q: Can i add it in my current game ?
A: Yes, shouldn't pose a problem.

Q: Will you add more to the mod ?
A: Not really sure, maybe, we'll see.

Q: How can i properly report an issue ?
A: Be sure to explain what happened properly and send a log.

Q: How can i get more deathstinger larvae ?
A: Traders, destroying more hives in the nearby tiles or getting lucky from an apiary.

Hornet Apiary inspired by the buildable hives from Vanilla Expanded Ideology : Memes and structures

Deathstinger jar inspired by the jars of the same name from stoneshard (since deathstingers come from stoneshard, figured i'd add in the jar)

@Rivven I'm fairly certain it's .40 carnivore nutrition rather than 40 meat, which would make what you have to feed them only 8 meat, if I'm correct...

This is very freeking cool.

40 meat for 1-2 honey is a terrible exchange. While I would agree it shouldn't be a 1-1 trade something like a 1-3 or 1-4 trade would be better. With current values, It would be easier for a player to just settle a map with deathstingers and raid their nests every couple of days.

@MajorityOfTheInternet No, it is supposed to cost resources and shouldn't be a random spammable weapon.

@The Lost Cake I want to refocus on some other stuff, this was just a small mod on the side. There's already some options around to generate insect jelly

@Elder No, being able to produce the honey in a controlled space is already strong enough, didn't want to add in the jelly in bonus

Does hornet jelly acquirable through deathstinger apiary? Or any other way to acquire it not farming wild hornet hive

How about a deflavored version for vanilla? I don't think there's been anything filling that niche in a while.

Can we have a deathstinger pot weapon like Vanilla Weapon Expanded's Tribal Fire Pot? As in its a proper weapon and not just a belt you have to manually aim
Oh No, Not The Bees!

Amazing idea, always though this part of the mod could do with more interaction. Thank you! <3
