Pickupable Stunstick

!THE ALL-HATED STUNSTICK CRASH IS FINALLY GONE!

The Combine finally removed restricted access to stunsticks, should've gotten one long while ago!

ALWAYS Gives Stunstick from dead metropolice in Route Canals (d1_canals_01)

THE MAP TRANSITION CRASH IN VEHICLES IS FIXED
Yeah,you heard that right. Finally... the crash is no more.. however it comes with it's own drawbacks (and they can be not really concerning for you though)

1 - Any map mod that changes the next maps is INCOMPATIBLE:
d1_canals_01
d1_canals_05-12
d1_eli_01
d2_coast_01-d2_coast_10
d3_citadel_01

2 - Mod Size... duh... I had to edit maps through VIDE to implement the band-aid "fix".

3 - Every single time,when you leave your vehicle you'll have stunstick selected

4 - EVEN if you didn't have the stunstick in your inventory,you'll still get it when you exit the vehicle

The crash was caused by having stunstick in player inventory and while in a vehicle transitioning to the next map
So the fix was weird and may be not optimal,with a few minor issues i listed above, yet it is still effective!

====THIS IS FOR MODDERS====

We create point_servercommand,and name it for example "stunstick_fixer"
Then in prop_vehicle_**** (any vehicle) we add next outputs:

PlayerOn - stunstick_fixer - command - ent_remove_all weapon_stunstick_player = This removes the stunstick from player inventory,when player enters the vehicle PREVENTING THE CRASH

PlayerOff - stunstick_fixer - command - give weapon_stunstick_player = This gives player the stunstick BACK,when player exits the vehicle

Made SPECIFICALLY for X0SH'S STUNSTICK RE-ANIMATION | But it will work just fine on it's own,and should work with other stunstick animations as well

@justdeltaxd kinda late to the reply but the same crashing issues with the stunstick apply to ANY VEHICLE so that includes the jalopy. I did make my own version of a legal stunstick back in august which avoids all these issues by putting weapon_stunstick_player in a supply crate in d2_prison_02 and ep2_outland_11. Can stunstick be found during the lowlife chapter in EP1 and im not sure for EP2...maybe barn advisor place?

The slam was cut from HL2 and reused for HL2DM in fact the model used in HL2DM for the slam was an entirely different model (though the wiki for the slam shows both pre-release and retail) doesn't exactly show all that much different.

Unfortunately no,the stunstick player uses at least coded in HL2,but SLAM doesn't even have an entity...:missing:

Question, are usable SLAMs possible to add to the workshop? I know HL2DM is different but is there something that could make it compatible with HL2
