@justdeltaxd kinda late to the reply but the same crashing issues with the stunstick apply to ANY VEHICLE so that includes the jalopy. I did make my own version of a legal stunstick back in august which avoids all these issues by putting weapon_stunstick_player in a supply crate in d2_prison_02 and ep2_outland_11. Can stunstick be found during the lowlife chapter in EP1 and im not sure for EP2...maybe barn advisor place?

The slam was cut from HL2 and reused for HL2DM in fact the model used in HL2DM for the slam was an entirely different model (though the wiki for the slam shows both pre-release and retail) doesn't exactly show all that much different.

Unfortunately no,the stunstick player uses at least coded in HL2,but SLAM doesn't even have an entity...:missing:

Question, are usable SLAMs possible to add to the workshop? I know HL2DM is different but is there something that could make it compatible with HL2

It would have been slightly to strong in HL2DM (remember that was a thing for a while back in the day) and was exclusive to the combine faction of that game.

I've got an idea on the fix,but it won't work with map mods which edit the vehicle maps

If you manage to fix something that's been basically plaguing every other mod that did this, share it with everyone because no lie, people gave up on these mods ever working flawlessly, gave up on Valve ever fixing something that they saw "required them to fix".

From what people gathered, yeah each time you started Water Hazard with any of the other mods that enabled the Stunstick the game would crash the moment you reach a transition.
Same thing for Highway 17 to Sandtraps with the buggy no doubt.

If it really does crash only because of the vehicle, i can make so when you enter a vehicle you lose the stunstick,and when you exit you get it back,and that's should help with the crash..
Is it really the vehicle only?

make the stunstick pick upable in nova prospekt to make this not crash nova prospekt btw. it is lore friendly and there are no vehicle sections after sandtraps. it only breaks when you have stunstick in the vehicle afaik

I don't think it is possible to fix that issue since it's just by the fact having stunstick in your inventory that does that

Inb4 the same crashing problems that plagued other stunstick enabler mods...
