Celts Remastered: Assets Resource pack
This is the Asset Resource part of the Celts Remastered reskin.
This is the largest & most comprehensive collection of assets aimed at the celtic culture with a point on creating Historically accurate & Personally Authored pieces in the most optimized process available.
There is no re-used assets from anywhere in this mod, everything is original & authored by me if it is not coming from a Total War game.


There has been great mods doing it like Haegemonia, but they are either discontinued or of lower quality than the outstanding Latene artistry deserves.
I am now a professional 3D modeller, and I can afford creating any pieces myself.

The end goal of this endeavor, is to rid Rome2 of every original Rome2 asset for an absolutely complete refresher.

Some assets are not in use in the reskin mod, but are available in this resource pack for anyone to grab.
Here is a run down of what is new:

- complete rewrite of vanilla VMDs to integrate a maximum of elements without contradicting the original design, or straight up clean up CA's mess. This is still an on-going effort.

- Celtic male basemesh (entirely new photoreal human body)
- Female body basemesh (entirely new photoreal body, rome2 had no female body)
- 5 new female heads matching female basemesh
- 10 new & reskinned female head variants ported from Attila ; with & without woad paint, with scarred faces (veteran).
- Retextured barbarian skin for britons, britons woad. May not be kept as new celtic male body will receive woad texture, and at this point barbarian body will remain for Germans only.

- new celtic moustaches series (x16)
- new female Hair Long (x16) + gallic Braids (x8)
- new celtic female hair variant (x40)
- female celtic rough hair long (x4)
- germanic female hair variants (x14)

- New & retextured complete line-up of celtic helmets with: bronze/copper variants or additional trim work for Nobles.
- Celtic & briton shields entirely redone or re-textured with new shield types. Will receive a major update in the near future with a full re-modelling of the shields, from scratch, and additional new shield type based on recent discoveries.
- new Druid headband accurate to the Deal Tomb finds

- Weapons retextured
- new Gallic latene longswords (assigned via unit vmd, so needs reskin)
- new Spears with painted shafts for nobles (to be assigned via unit vmd)

- brand new accessories: Scabbards & sheathed swords dagger, Torcs, Armbands, Bracelets, Ear pendents.

- new tartan & patterned trousers (retextured from vanilla, but moved to subfolder)
- new historically accurate braccae (from RoR Brennus) trousers with chainbelt & supsender.
- new historically accurate celtic cape/cloak (from RoR Brennus + reskin of original celtic & chieftain cloaks)
- retextured chieftain cloaks with tartan motifs.
- new Chieftain Cloak with Gold Weaving patterns (to be assigned via unit vmd, not used yet)
- Retextured celtic tunics
- new/porting & fixing of attila leather tunics
- Cloth Tunics portted from Attila. Are ♥♥♥♥ though, so needs retexture (if I don't do a completely new historically accurate celtic tunic to rid us of the stupidity of the vanilla assets!)
- Celtic Belts to fit leather tunic - ported from Attila

- Chainmails retexture for all celtic variants & upscale to 2K for distinguishable mail rings.
- New gold-woven chainmails for nobles (to be assigned via unit vmd, not used yet)

- Massive Horse retexture for both British & default to add variety & more interesting robes patterns.

Planned:
- Female complete overhaul - nearly complete.
- woad skin for britons
- tattooed skin for all celts (historically documented from preserved bodies etc)
- Head Hunter trophies: both for Horses & man belt accessories (historically documented)
- Gallic & Britannic Scabbards
- new oval shield model with complete support of decals & masks.
- new celtic & britannic spears to replace the horrors of vanilla celtic spears.
- Horse Bridle & other accessories based on further research
- Celtic Fencing swords.

When nearing completion, it became apparent that I needed to split celtic & germanic spheres of influence, as it created stupid overlap & made it impossible to entertain an immersive & historically accurate style.
So once the above list is completed you can expect germans to get a re-allocation & renaming of their respective assets:
- retextured/patterned germanic trousers
- new germanic thorsberg trousers
- new german weapons
- new german Hex shields types
- germanic helmets (perhaps)
- germanic female dresses
- germanic jewelry accessories

Assets are integrated in a non-destructive process:
- Vanilla texture overwritten
- New Asset assigned in sub-folders
- equipement & clothing vmds edited to integrate new & vanilla assets.

Special Thanks to Joshua Behrens for the germanic noble scabbard & sword + longshields.

Hey EF65 I'm not too sure why the new druid headband would be missing a texture, or are you talking about the old one?
I got a few fixes coming in for helmets textures, hopefully it'll do ;)

Hey Donald! Yes no problem! The best case scenario is using this mod as a pre-requisite - I am still updating & fixing a cple assets, but if you want to host them inside your mod for whatever compatibility reasons it's open bar ;)

Druid noble's helmet texturing are missed,and Gaul choice Swordsman 's helmet is too yellow .can you fix it.:steamhappy:
