Alpha Ship

描述
💭 The ship is the home of space explorers, the safe place where any traveler knows they can always return. But knowing that there are so many styles and ways to be an explorer in this wonderful universe, it is strange that the ship is often so generic, or limited. The standard ship model is basic, and it certainly does the job, but it is common to look out the window of our generic ship and think... Could it be better?

I have always wanted to answer this question, even though many other creators over the years have answered it in their own ways. With this in mind, I sought to develop a simple yet interesting and immersive system, which is modular enough to have few compatibility issues, but at the same time is cozy and interesting for new players who just want to explore the stars in Starbound! 💭


⚙️ Possibility to permanently convert the default ship into a ship that can be modified block by block.
🛒 The BYOS Module (Build Your Own Ship, a popular term in the community) can be purchased from Infinity Express, located in the Outpost.
🛰️ Zero-G effect outside the ship, requiring caution when exiting through the external hatch.
🌌 The space outside the ship is also non-breathable, ensuring a sad way to return to the ship if the player gets lost floating.
❌ If you don't like the gravity and vacuum system, you can exit the ship and remove the mod, keeping the customizable structure.
🧩 The mod will not make any significant changes to your default ship if you do not use the BYOS Module*.
📦 The Ship Locker that came with the default ship has been removed, and the starting items have been slightly modified, being received when turning on the ship.
🐧 Penguin Pete will now sell important ship objects, such as S.A.I.L. modules, pilot chairs, and fuel hatches.
🏷️ The names of some ship objects have been changed to include a species-themed identification prefix.
🔥 Thrusters are also sold by Penguin Pete, and are merely decorative, but very nice.
📡 Some new messages will be played by S.A.I.L. only once, giving the player useful information about the mod.
(*Existing Ship Light Bulbs on the ship without the BYOS Module are lost whenever the player performs traditional upgrades.)

⚠️ Important notice: This mod is probably a one-way trip. There are experimental methods to revert the ship to its original state, but it is always best to keep this in mind before converting your ship. If you install it by mistake and have not yet used the BYOS Module, simply exit the ship and uninstall the mod without any problems.
⚠️ Another important notice: You will receive a message from S.A.I.L. warning you of this, but keep in mind that it is recommended to remove all objects and blocks that you may have placed on your ship before using the BYOS Module. If you do not remove these objects and blocks, they will be placed on top of the structure that was designed with great care to be a complete starter ship.

sorry i'm just sic of the gic drama of tengu and atlaus pop top just maeking things more difcalt then it would be. i just had to get that off my chest good mod i needed this mod atcly. its perfect. 10/10

Okaaaaay, let's take a deep breath Mashtong hahahaha. Seems like Tengu did something very bad and GiC is not your favorite mod right now. To be very honest this is probably not the best place to vent, but still, I'm happy that somehow it helps maybe? All I can say about it, to be honest again, is that some parts of other mods didn't really pleased me after some years, and then I started to make my own mods, to make it perfect to me (which is probably not really perfect for everyone else haha). That said, if you want it you could use that huge energy to learn about modding and edit the GiC the way you wanted =), but also, I hope this venting helped you to not be so f***ing p***ed off hahaha. like now i hate tengu alot more know that i know they don't evene know what they are bascly evene doing and i'm realy noticted the huge amonuts of gaslighting tengu knida did made me realy mad after the 4.0 update ltraily borke the tinteid glassie off my face so darn hard that now i know that why aplha pop top did the dcma in the first palce. bescue gosh darn tengu has realy eraly realy goten on my bad side and now i'm F***ing sick of tengu gaslgithing now that there lack of actal proerp derection just exploed my gosh danr mod pack and now i'm P***ED off at tengu bacly ther gaslighting now has reached such citral mass levels that my gaslgihting alarm has gone off big time. i would know bescue what ever tengu did is not the gic main build i signed up for. donw with tengu and prefer aplha opo tops bescue they at les tknow how the tsory and on how it was ment to be. but i'm sick of tengu just F****ing aronud and not pcikng a gosh danr standerd

oh i need this is fix what ever hte dumb tengus of gic that i realy realy realy hate alot more and would have now prefered that tengu did'nt F*** up the main offcal fork of gic and now i'm giong back to aplha pop tops build now. tengu realy F***ED up bacly almost everytinfg and they keep gaslgthing teh gic comontuy to the pont that tengu is just lseing more credtibly of bacly keeps makeing gic worse and wrose and keep overhule the crap far to many tiems and now has borken like 100% of ebbody odler starbonud mod packs and realy giong way way too far now. like whats the pnot of maeking gic mods for the offcal tengu build if tengu giongto keep F***ing aronud insteasd of adding more story and vonect instead of bacly F***ing withte core ofteh mod way to many times. burh t got sick of teh last tw over hauls and copyright drama but tengu is not on my good sdie ever sence they F***ing maees withe very core of starbonud was the last straw for me

Hey Shadocat! It actually should still exist, but just instead of turn your ship into BYOS, it would turn your ship into a Tier 8 Ship for your race (probably). Avali was one of the first races I should have done the compatibility, and I promise I'll do it as soon as possible! Thanks for the interest and the comment =)

If i Can't Find the BYOS Module in the infinity express, Does that mean The Race is Unsupported At the Moment? Just asking Because Im Playing as an Avali and Cannot Find the Modules in the Infinity Express.

Hey Ninja! For now we have support to some races, which are: aegi, akkimari, animatronics, avikan, blattra, bunnykin, deadbeat, droden, felin, fenerox, pengukin, shoggoth taurikin and trink. The other ones need to be added one by one, and I'll do it when I get some time from the work =). Thanks for the interest by the way =)

hey quick question! will this mod work with custom races like inkbound's inklings and octolings? or is it strictly for vanilla races only?
