[sbz] Workbench Shelf

Descripción

Workbench Shelf
· Safe to add to a save game

Add three types of workbench shelves for neat storage
Adds three shelves that can be placed on top of a workbench.
Each cell can hold only one item, but the advantage is
that it lets you place items in spots that were previously unusable.

This was released as a separate mod from Neat Storage in case any issues arise,
since it was made with help from an anonymous user.
I ask for your understanding.

Issue
Items don't go on shelves placed over certain buildings, like the tool cabinet.
To be honest, I still don't fully understand why.

XGGJI1 has resolved it. Please check the link.

Performance
Adaptive Storage Framework :
Q: How performance friendly is this mod?
A: Very. We made sure to make the framework as performance friendly as possible so it shouldn’t affect your gameplay. The result of the framework's custom rendering and various caches should even be improved performance over using plain vanilla shelves without any additional mods

I received technical support from an anonymous user. Thanks!

Soon. But I only plan to support vanilla.

Any chance to integrate that into the main mod?

For the issue where items cannot be stored when a shelf is placed on certain buildings, I made a patch:

As stated in the main text, items may not be placeable on certain buildings. I don’t know the exact reason. RimWorld is an extremely complex game.

@[Br] Nasid If you want your comment to be useful, let us know about that reason please. The mod does not have such an issue by itself. You have a mod conflict there.

For some reason, the pawns refuse to put anything on them. The mod is not working:steamthumbsdown::steamsad::steamthumbsdown:

For some reason it doesn't store components and advanced components when placed on a subcore bench

Love the idea. Unfortunately it's not appearing for me - even in Dev Mode. I'd already researched Smithing. I can see it in Smithing research though. I do have a lot of other mods - so that could be part of it.
