描述
The Long War


Updated,
  • Removed Transport AI, Game update will have them now.
  • Added Auto Turrets, Buildable with Engineers after the research is unlocked.
  • Reworked the Mercenary Invasion. This will spawn waves on neutral units

  • Fixed/Changed "Ancient sites" These should spawn better on the map.
  • Added Survey Area to the Scientist. Added Warden, and WardenAugmented to the "Ancient Portal Device",
  • Rebalanced "Disinformation"

    Might need to resub to make sure it's up-to-date.



    Update.. Added a new mode, a portal is on a countdown to doomsday, and you must advance and fight to hold it back by finding Ancient Portal and unlocking its secrets with your scientist.
    Added an intro to explain the mod a little better.
    Changed the bio lab hack from research to loyalty. (was hard to balance) they will now cause loyalty damage and try to force a Resistance
    Added Resistance, has a chance to spawn at citys
    Reworked Total Extinction added a system countdown and mode. (with new model and effects)
    Added Ancient Portal Device (This acts as a objective to reset the cooldown of Total Extinction.
    Scientist has 2 new abilities, Investigate and Access System.
    Fixed bugs it seems very stable now. no crashes so far, but do report if you have any.






    The goal of this mod is to make the games last longer and increase difficulties by making enemy units stronger, while also making a bunch of changes. This is very much playable but still in the works

    Difficulty

    Hard 10 loyalty and lvl 10 units
    Very Hard 14 loyalty and lvl 20 units
    Ultra Hard 18 loyalty and lvl 30 units
    Nightmare 24 loyalty and lvl 40 units
    BloodyNightmare 48 loyalty and lvl 50 units


    Units

  • All Units can level to lvl 50 with ALL heroes having new abilities.
  • Choose your starting units from the portal on turn 1
  • Added 3 neutral NPC camps which act like relics, gaining research and buying mercenaries or take control of the bandit HQ to raise an army of bandits for a cost to loyalty. These camps can be killed or captured for these bonuses.... Scan for map locations or release the plague on your enemy. These camps have a decent amount of options (Just try for yourself)
  • Bunkers now give an action point for every unit garrisoned. Also added some upgrades from armour to a rocket launcher because why not :) Unlocked with research.
  • Added Units, Militant Assault, Militant Flamer, Militant Granider, Militant Gunner, Bandit Leader, Militant Defender, Mercenary Militant, Mercenary AcrinMilitia, Mercenary AcrinZealot, Mercenary Hammerhead, Mercenary Sentry, Bandit Cleaver, Bandit Gunslinger, Overgrown Deformity, These can be obtained with the 3 Camps added to the world map, and the Overgrown Deformity is a unit only from WhispererOfGoldrauch

Gameplay

  • Added Sky Jammer S2001. This requires "AI Cores" to operate. This is a defence shield for your citys which will stop ALL incoming superweapons from all players, Destroy the Sky Jammer directly to allow superweapons to be used.
  • Added AI Cores with multiple ways to obtain.
  • Added new weapons and ammo for militants to equip.
  • Added a superweapon to the neutral AI.
  • Added Dark Plague that will haunt anything Biological, and it will spread each turn if a unit gets infected.
  • Added an Electromagnetic Storm that causes damage
  • Added Mercenary camp that gains food/minerals and a 10% production speed if built on these tiles.
  • Reinforcements Portals will help fight the war when they are ready to be spawned, each getting stronger as time passes.
  • Added a Weapon Factory that can be built inside a city to produce weapons and ammo. requires research.
  • Added Militant armor, +1, unlocked with research (with a mesh work in progress)
  • Added Unit, Militant Assault, Militant Flamer, Militant Granider, Militant Gunner.
    To obtain these units, equip a Militant with the weapon/Ammo
  • Added weapons and ammo, currently 4 weapons and 4 ammo with 1 healing supply.
  • Added 2 items to buy from the Concordat.
  • Zephon also get portals to call in reinforcements.
  • Chiefness gets aid from Bandit Camp
  • Acrin (Nothing yet, this is in the works)
  • Mercenary Invasion portals will appear, sending reinforcements.
  • Total Extinction portal that will spawn and group up endgame units, then they will attack as a group (good luck :))

    More stuff you can find in-game.. All this is still a work in progress, but it has a decent foundation to continue to improve. Any bugs or balance issues are still in the works. Let me know if you have any problems, and I'll try to fix/sort.

    right now they spawn at the lvl of Difficulty. im going to add a version to only effect loyalty for players who want a challange but no harder units. just like vanilla

    Can i ask ,
    Do enemy levels scale up later in the game, or if I want to challenge myself, do I have to face level 40 enemies with a level 1 unit on higher difficulties?

    Oh I see! I was wondering why it wouldn't disappear. Perhaps because I was playing as the Soldier (whose stuff heals 2+ each turn), could that regen have been preventing the "Fake" Skyjammer from being removed?

    I'll try a new game anyway with a new Skyjammer and see how we get on! Thank you :)

    The Neutral AI controls alot of the early game survival, MOD is still a work in progress and will improve/balance when i can.

    Also the scientist can only build them when 1 tile away from a city.

    HI, Yeah i defo need to work on explaing how things work ingame, The starting unit will die, its just a placeholder for getting started, Build a scientist and have them build a new Skyjammer next to a city, use the AI core on the new skyjammer to activate it.

    Thank you for your work on this! Loving all but one aspect of this mod, and that is the spamming of nukes and other WMDs on my poor city.

    I have a Skyjammer next to it (the first one we are spawned with) but I can't use AI Cores to activate it, it won't let me use them. I can't build another Skyjammer either, the option is greyed out. So my city has been satellite struck and nuked twice within 3 turns (first on T20, second on T23), and had two back-to-back turns of Research Hacks performed on it.

    Am I doing something wrong? This surely can't be how it's meant to be playing out? :(

    Alternatively, is there a way to turn off this Neutral AI? It's ruining the fun of an otherwise good mod!
