描述
This mod requires OpenStarbound![github.com]
This mod adds a new item to Terramart which allows you to swap your ship's pet! The available pets are the ship pets from any in-game species you have installed.

Q & A
Q: Mod doesn't work! I do not have OpenStarbound[github.com] installed.
A: You must have OpenStarbound[github.com] installed for this mod to work.

Q: Is this clientside? What happens if I uninstall?
A: It is not clientside, but if you swap your pet to anything other than 'none', you will still have that pet when you uninstall the mod. Before uninstalling the mod, remove any 'Pet Swapper' items from your characters/worlds first.

Q: My ship doesn't come with a pet. Can I use this to get a pet for it?
A: Most likely not. You're free to try, however. Additionally, the Namje Shipwright mod has its own methods of obtaining pets, so this mod will not do anything if it is installed.

Q: How can I get a specific variant/color of pet?
A: The game randomly picks one based on the current time. I recommend doing something else and reselecting the pet every 10 or so seconds.

Q: Mine says 'petcat', but the mod preview images show 'Cat'.
A: Starbound never gave them an actual name, so the mod uses their internal spawn ID. Install Starbound Patch Project for the actual names.

xStarbound? Its author is another thief, like "Sayter" (FU), of the same ilk.

@SuperMario20 No. I will never support xStarbound as it is led by a highly transphobic and aggressive person. Most of the cool things in it are copied from OpenStarbound but were originally credited as being xStarbound with no specification as to what was changed, with him going so far as to butt into conversations about oSB features to say "Well, xSB has that too," (of course it has them- he copy-pasted them). It's not that he just made a fork, he made a fork of an preview version before oSB's official release so he could make a name for himself using the work that went into oSB before oSB had a chance to be known.

xStarbound is also infested with incompatibilities- the patches listed on its page aren't all of them; the assets for it have patches built in (all the patches can stop working at any time if the original mod is changed). OpenStarbound does not have these issues as it cares about mod compatibility

Could you add compatibility for xStarbound with this? (Just make it require either "opensb_base" or "xSBassets") xStarbound is a fork of OpenStarbound so it would only mean changing the requirement line (If it's possible to make a requirement either or, idk if that's possible. I made it work on my PC just replacing the opensb_base line altogether since I don't know about that kind of thing)

@Davoker same as vanilla. put mods in thr mods folder. both packed and unpacked

Sorry to ask here, but how does oSB work with "local" mods? I use all my mods locally, without subscriptions, does oSB work that way? And if so, where should local mods be placed? Does it support both packed and unpacked mods? For convenience, there are one or two mods I use as folders for testing before I pack them and make sure everything works.
