Well I got news for you.
Introducing "More realistic radio".

Features

Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with other music packs, but unless they were made for More realistic radio, they will not be able to take advantage of all features. They will still play on all allied/axis radio stations.
This mod has been made with UBE in mind. (Especially the news broadcast part)

What this mod does not do
No changes are made to the radio on board the subs.
No changes are made to the background music

Game limitations
The radio broadcasting in the game is very simple. Each station broadcasts a set range in a 360 degree sphere.
The signal does not take into account the Overlapping radio signals, Earth curvature, Land features (like mountains) or Atmosperic conditions (Other than X% limit on signal strength in bad weather)
Real life transmitters used short/medum/long wave, which in theory has an unlimited range, but is heavily influenced by above mentioned conditions.
The game does not account for loss of signal if a station is already playing. It only determines which stations (if any) are in range when the player activates the radio.

You need to start a new game for this mod to work

If the mod is updated, you will most likely need to start a new game as well.
This is unfortunately how the devs made the game.

That is actually a nice idea.
Currently, the national anthem is removed and the french radio stations will begin playing a mix of german and french songs.

I will look into this at a later time.

Unfortunately, The game currently does not have a way to turn up the volume of the radio.
Some of the tracks have been normalized. I have raised the volume without the sound getting distorted.

Answer:
I assume they work in your game, but there is no localisation.
The names of the radio stations would be displayed as they are on the screenshots.
The music tracks should play without issues.

Ah, I misunderstood how the core mod worked. That makes sense then.
