I have built a very large and highly detailed map with vast cities & landscapes with the Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds map editor (an old Star Wars real time strategy game from the 2000s that uses the original Age of Empires II engine & editor). That would have been several days of work. So I have experience and creative talent in map building with the simple infrastructure of the SWGB editor. No doubt the WH one is far more complicated than that though.
Honestly, the such small number of siege maps and the absence of unique racial capital ones in WH3 is an absolute disgrace on the part of CA especially after what we pay for the base game plus all the DLCs and is inferior to WH2. You've picked up the slack where the CA team shamefully left off. Lore immersion in games especially like Warhammer is very important to me and many others and it's not just about fancy units and stats.
I really hope you can finish the project. A question, any idea about when you can possibly do a map for the racial capital of Lothern/High Elves? That will be absolutely magnificent. High Elves and their cities are one of my favourite races.
