An evolved Hopopoba, that has traded in its intelligence for defensive side-plates. M e c h a n i c a l p r e y a n i m a l. The Platales' mouth has been reduced to a simple, small orifice through which it absorbs edible things. It no longer has jaws, although *technically* its tongues/arms/whatever were once jaws. Although, they've evolved so much that one has to wonder if they even count as jaws anymore. Are they even tongues? They might be arms at this point, but who knows? Zemplix, no matter how much time passes, will always be weird.
