描述
A set of vanilla-styled sprites that mimic* the cutscenes/official art assets used in the game.
*Including the fact that no single drawn depiction, vanilla or otherwise, is ever consistent. (Had to make chimeras out of the few images we got for Downpour) (RW moment)

Any bugs or incompatibilities are not my fault as this mod is a dependent of DMS, ask for help there instead.

P.S. as of 1.5, watcher can now use multicolored sprites and body sprites YIPEE!!

NOTICE
ALL ADDITIONAL SKIN CONTENTS MAY POTENTIALLY BE MOVED TO A SISTER PACK TO STREAMLINE THE EXPERIENCE FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T NEED EXTRA COSMETICS.

Tail proportioning is at the bottom of the description. (Vanilla for more modest proportions, Custom for preview accurate ones)

All manually colored sprites have preset colors and will display properly when selected.

To prevent asymmetric hip and body coloring issues, set your colors to whatever you need via the campaign custom color sliders.

(Make sure you reset the tail color when using individual pieces from certain sets (Inv). DMS presets like to change the tail color even if you don't pick it. (Horribly annoying bug))




"Can I use your skins as templates for my own DMS mods?"
Ask for permission in the comments section and I'll be happy to let you! All I ask is that you provide proper credit.

"What is/isn't acceptable?"
  • You may not modify or use my assets for public DMS mods until you ask for permission. Just ask first.

  • Do not repost my sprites as-is or as separate templates. (Don't profit off my work.)

  • Do not claim "Sprites are inspired" by my mod then recolor/rip/trace my sprites and pass it off as your own work. It is okay to reference, but don't trace the frames.

  • For credit: Direct links or clear text mentions are perfectly acceptable.

  • Formerly private skins will require proper credit if made public. (I don't care or mind if you edit my stuff for your own personal use. Just credit me properly and notify me if you ever make it public.)

  • If you are crediting a separate mod that uses my sprites: Credit appropriately, as it includes both their work and mine.

@Auro hmm i never stopped to think about this but why the hell doesn't dress my slugcat have options for recolorable sprites and such, like for the face scar on hunter, there could be a second file where the exact pixels selected would make so the scar pixels would copy the color of the head sprite then apply a darkkening effect to it

also an option for it to invert to brighten it up if the player uses a black skin color

has anyone suggested this to the DMS creator?

tl;dr

you can't make your spearmaster like blue grey or whatever and use that tail, since the colors on the tail will be multiplied by the game's coloring thing.

to have it like what you're asking, we'd need either layering to start existing or some other horrible tintable amalgamation.

the alt tail is intended to be used without spots, but msc sprites don't automatically refresh unless you go back to the main menu, or use a shortcut/regular pipe.

To give more details, apparently changing the color of the custom tail doesn't actually change the color of the tail and instead changes the color of its "dots", and the color of the actual tail is the same color as the dots but with a darker tone (the "custom tail" is the one that the mod includes, not the default one). Shouldn't the dots be always white and the rest of the tail be the one that matches the chosen color in the settings?

Also, changing the look of the "Tail Speckles" in the "Get Fancy" menu doesn't seem to be working, because when I set it to "Empty", the speckles from the default tail do not hide and seem to overlap with the ones of the custom tail.
