Thank you for your patience and I apologise about this inconvenience.
Some additional info: I can reproduce this bug consistently even in the first season with 1 UCL and 2 UECL spots.
Details: This only happened in year 2036 and 2037 while in every other year I correctly got the UCL spot. This is when I noticed that ONLY in those two years, Tre Penne ended the league stage with 76 points while I had 84 (this will be important later on). And in those two years, Tre Penne won all 3 of their playoff matches.
In 2035, Tre Penne did the same but had 74 points, and I correctly got a UCL spot.
My suspicion is that the game is counting those playoff wins towards European spots allocation, and that those 3 wins gave Tre Penne 9 points to grant them the UCL spot even if it doesn't show up in the league table.
I'm curious if anyone else played that far and had the same issue.
