DESCRIPTION

The Ostauto MHTV 8x8 (Mobile Heavy Tactical Vehicle) is a heavy 8x8 utility truck designed to simplify logistics within Newquay's ground divisions through the use of a highly mobile, modular and simple design capable of multiple different roles from a single chassis. This variant in particular has been designed with a flatbed to transport ISO containers, allowing for an even higher degree of modularity in what it is capable of transporting.

The Block 2 Variant of the MHTV has completely redesigned the truck from the ground up to better suit the current requirements of the NQAF: the obsolete engine was removed, as well as a completely new container/module handling unit.

STARTUP PROCEDURE:

- BATTERY ISOLATOR
- RELEASE HYDRAULIC BRAKE
- IGNITION
- REDUCE HANDBRAKE TO 0
- DRIVE GEAR [OR REVERSE GEAR DEPENDING ON SITUATION]

FLATBED PROCEDURE:

LOADING A CONTAINER

- Turn on the engine and leave it in idle.
- Press CHU DIVERT HYDRAULICS and ARM CONTAINER HANDLING UNIT
- Then, press AUTOMATIC LOAD/UNLOAD BOOM
- If you want to manually move the booms position, press CHU MANUAL OVERRIDE and use the arrow buttons.
- Reverse the MHTV onto a container, then disable AUTOMATIC LOAD/UNLOAD BOOM to then load the container.


OFFLOADING A CONTAINER

- Make sure the engine is still running.
- Press AUTOMATIC LOAD/UNLOAD BOOM
- If you want to manually move the booms position, press CHU MANUAL OVERRIDE and use the arrow buttons.
- Press DISABLE CHU CONNECTORS once container is on the ground.
- Disable AUTOMATIC LOAD/UNLOAD BOOM to retract the handling unit.
