I just finished a LWOTC campaign recently, and now want to do a normal WOTC run on ironman, but I would like to use the 'current' LWOTC hero unit abilities, ie: Templar has their ability based psionic shield, soul shot etc.
Is this overhaul still based on the older version of Long war, where the templars had the ballistic shields? Or would it not work at all without long war enabled?
XcomLWClassData.ini:
";NOTE ON TEMPLAR SHIELDS: If you want shields still, obtain your own class perk trees from older builds or from a rework such as Kiruka's. Then make the below changes noted as well
;change the below to false if you want to use shields:
bNoSecondaryWeapon=true
-AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, WeaponType="sidearm")
;If you want Templar Shields back, uncomment the below line:
;+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_SecondaryWeapon, WeaponType="templarshield")"
In the XcomLWOverhaul.ini:
"; switch this to True if you want shield templars still (you'll still need to config them yourself)
; this turns off the auto-respec if a Templar doesn't have the new psi shield yet.
bDisableRespeccingTemplars = false"
Quickly tested after following instructions and Templar didn't reset on load or when swapping back from overworld.
i use the console to give it to me and still without work so x,d help ?
I would think that one of the new ability might be causing the problem, but I have so far been unable to identify where the problem comes from.
But using the standard LWOTC templar deck seems to have fixed the problem and the Templar now retains his rank.
For now, I'm just going to go ahead with the LWOTC tree.
