DEV BRANCH

The Frame Shift Drive (FSD) is a revolutionary ship hyperdrive system manufactured by Sirius Corporation. It was introduced to the market in 3297 after decades of secretive development, and promptly rendered all other hyperdrives obsolete. The Frame Shift Drive features two modes: supercruise, which allows travel at faster-than-light speeds within a star system, and jumping, which allows rapid travel through hyperspace from one system to another. All ships produced since 3297 come equipped with a Frame Shift Drive by default, and cannot be operated without one.

For optimal experience don't increase asteroid density above "normal"

Grid: Large & Small
Acceleration: 1
Charge time: 10 seconds / default, changeable in config
Max speed: 50km/s / default can be changed via config
Can overheat? No / can be changed via config
Power requirement: Based on mass

Prototech FSD Variants
Prototech S77 Frameshift Drive (LG), Prototech D55 Frameshift Drive (SG)
Grid: Large & Small
Acceleration: 2
Charge time: 5 seconds / default, changeable in config
Max speed: 50km/s / default can be changed via config
Can overheat? No / can be changed via config
Power requirement: 0.5 based on mass


Upcoming Update(s) Probably will add new sounds effects and return to Elite Dangerous sounds .wav to .xwm sound conversion Add Event Controller compatibility Make Prototech FSD heat up slower Increase in gravity speed hard limit allowed to be set in config

Prototech Update REMEMBER TO REMOVE CONFIGURATION FILE TO GET NEW OPTIONS Added: • Prototech Frameshift Drives (S77 for Large Grid and D55 for Small Grid) - Features new sounds, FX (placeholder of Prototech Jump Drive for now) - Faster boot time - 2 times faster acceleration - Even harder to build in survival • Re-done icons for all FSDs

For server owners: be aware that not every setting is not worth changing, since you don't want for your PC/server to melt, right?

Also, ik that some sounds are not from Elite Dangerous but some original ones sounded ass so I changed them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

can it please go in atmosphere ONLY if i activate it in atmosphere? so when i'm in space and i go to a planet i still stop in the biggening of the gravity.

is this compatible with the mid game prototech mod? i want the prototech FSD drive, but with the other mod enabled I need to make sure I dont invalidate the use of this mod

I want to use the FSDs with AI, but my issue right now is I have to be on the ship and seated for the FSD to enable and it will shutdown if I leave the seat. Is there a way to use the FSD without being seated so I can launch AI ships across the system remotely?
