Danubia

The flatlands around the Danu-River were prone to regular occurring floods. However, back in the 70s things changed... The River course got straightened and the riverbanks raised. Fertile farmland emerged along the sides and just a small sidearm of the once wide wetlands got converted into a natural reserve. The highway A12 along the Danu river is part of this environment since the 80s and connects the capital to the port city of Rengdon. With the recently finished connection to the A23 further east, the national government recognized the opportunity to populate this logistically well placed area and founded the municipal of Danubia.

Mayor, the future of this fertile land is now in your hands. Do you envision a vibrant city with a huge density, an industrial hotspot which brings the port closer to the capital or maybe just green suburbs as a refuge for the metropolitans?
Or should we even walk a completely different path and renature the area, recreate the old river bed of the Danu and create a coexistence between humans and the biodiversity of the area?

The agricultural fields aren't colored as I couldn’t use surface painter in the map editor and I didn’t want to change the color of the resources... If you have a solution let me know :) or just place real farms there, that would be even better - wouldn’t it? ^^

There are approx. 240.000 trees on the map. I used low poly versions.

I'd recommend to subscribe to all of those mods and to use the relight settings you find among the map screenshots to get the right aesthetics and to work properly.
The traffic flow is also higher if you use TM:PE and allow vehicle to drive into blocked crossings as a default.

I also recommend to subscribe to all off the assets from the collection to get the map working and looking properly. I know there are quite a few, but I’m sure you already got many of them…. ;)


There are quite a few connections on the map
All the roads and train lines have realistic inclinations, therefore it’s a bit of a curvy ride 😉 I’d slow down the speed limit with TM:PE to get a more realistic appearance.
Just upgrade the road system and intersections as your city grows.


Screenshots are taken with the LUT Relight Neutral. You’ll find the according relight settings among the map screenshots.

The national government couldn’t complete the highway-bridge over the Danu River so it's now responsibility of the mayor to connect the two sides of the river.... they didn't do a good job anyway… who the heck builds more lanes than a bridge can handle.... idiots….

I don't know how to fix the problem with the arch bridge. I tried different things but it always shifts underground when starting a new city... However, there is a work around description among the screenshots. If you find a permanent solution let me know :)




I hope I could eradicate some of the issues you had with my first map Narrow Bay , nevertheless, let me know about any problems you find and how to improve the map!
But most importantly... Have fun! Can’t wait to see how other cities will look like on this map 😊
