There was a somewhat-popular party game once I think. And this might've been the most-popular minigame it had? Not sure anymore…


Have you ever wanted to play a minigame about shooting down a stack of objects for points? You could even compete against friends for it!

~ At the start, you will spawn in an antechamber to the proper testing floor. This map supports up to four players; however many friends you're bringing, make sure they're all present before starting!
~ Press the big button to the left of the blast doors to begin setting up your game; the map will ask how many players will be playing. Select the correct number, of course. As the map sets up, if you have brought friends along, establish your player order.
~ Once the blast doors open, have all players enter the testing floor. The game will not start until all players are inside. Once this is so, the game will begin.
~ The map will then show a prompt indicating whose turn it presently is; of course, Player 1 goes first, then 2, etc. Whoever's turn it presently is, must step up to the indicated zone on the floor.
~ If there are less than four human players present, the map will provide AI characters for the remaining player positions. Their difficulty can be adjusted during the initial setup phase.
~ Once the player whose turn it currently is steps up to the designated zone, they must press the provided button to confirm they are ready. Doing so will elevate the player to shooting position.
~ Now, simply… shoot.
~ Okay no, bit more to it than that; you're trying to knock down blocks into the pit below, knocking down as many as you can, in one shot.
~ The game consists of a selectable number of rounds; in a single round, each player takes a turn shooting at the pile of blocks. Once all four players have taken a shot, the round ends, and the next one begins.
~ All plain blocks are worth one point, but Star-marked blocks are worth five! Try to knock down the most blocks in the allotted number of rounds!
~ Because I'm not a scripting master, this map relies a bit on the honor system; players must stick to their chosen player number, scores must be tallied manually at the end, and all that.

Individual games can be customized between 10, 50 and 100 rounds. The computer players have three levels of difficulty; Easy, Medium, and Moderate. Their difficulty level determines the accuracy of their shots. Due to how NPCs in Half-Life 2 work, please refrain from attacking anything during the AI's turn, as the sound may distract them and cancel their action.
