Ever wanted to a see a brighter, happier Ravenholm? This might do the trick!

//Requirements//
Nothing should be required as it should all be packed into the bsp. The map file itself should be "gm_towncomplete_prewar", minus the quotation marks.

Do note that while no game should be required, the size and scope of the map might still cause issues for users on lower end PCs despite rigorous optimization. As well, be aware that despite attempts to prevent conflicts, other workshop items might still conflict with assets used in the map.

//Gameplay//
  • Day time version of Ravenholm
  • All blood and dead bodies removed, along with traps and most explosives
  • Spawn room with four teleport destinations: Black Mesa East, Shorepoint Base, Train tunnel at Mine Entrance, Central Ravenholm
  • While almost the entire layout and map comes from Valve made maps, you can add in an area made by me that connects two different areas.
  • Some areas with broken wooden walls and floors have been repaired. This includes the mine shafts, which have also been drained of water and have had elevator service restored

While in the Gmod Sandbox mode, any dead bodies, blood stains, activated map scripts or other changes can be cleaned/reset using this: Pressing Q -> Utilities -> Admin -> Cleanup -> Cleanup Everything

//Development//
During the development of "Town - Complete" I had planned to use the work there for a few more map ideas. One of those ideas was a Pre-war version of Ravenholm similar to the pre-war trainstation map I made previously.

The process of changing over to this cleaner version wasn't especially hard, a lot of that was just deleting blood decals and the like. The most challenging aspect was actually trying to get the lighting to be just right. I wanted to the outside to feel a lot more warm and bright and I wanted to the interiors to have more normal lights (as opposed to the lights coming from odd angles). A lot of tinkering was required, but I am quite satisfied with how it turned out.

Having learned from these past maps, learning more, and finally realizing some planned ideas, I can confidently say that the next map will be the newest version of trainstation district...and maybe after that a trainstation district pre-war...
