The L-Cluster never really felt that rewarding considering how much preparation it takes to open the L-Gates, and that it's literally the longest and most complex event chain in the game, only rivaled by the Horizon Signal. But now it's time to give the L-Cluster a second chance!

This mod aims to make the L-Cluster more rewarding while keeping it relatively balanced.

Features:
- New technologies
- New ship components: Nanite Armor and Adaptive Shielding (aka Nanite Shields)
- 2 L-Cluster origins: Regular start where you spawn on a Tomb World, and an advanced start where you spawn on a Ring World with multiple ruined megastructures nearby!
Note: Randomly generated AI empires can't use the origins, custom AI empires can. The advanced start requires Utopia as well, and some megastructures (such as the matter decompressor) will only spawn if you own the required DLC.
- Increased nanite resource deposit spawn rates

The mod overwrites the following:
- d_nanites_deposit
- vast majority of the events from the L-Cluster chain

Should be compatible with any other mod that does not modify the L-Cluster chain or the spawn rate of nanites.

The mod is compatible with A Deadly Tempest!

@Wairui I checked the mod. It doesn't overwrite vanilla files, so I think it should work without issues.

@Inquisitor It was a feature I wanted to add, and the function exists in a WIP state, but I never had time to fully integrate it into the mod. If you want, you can cheat in a relic (the ID is r_nanite_artifact) that lets you control the L-Gates. It's missing localisation and a proper high quality icon, but it should still function, it did last time I checked. On that note, I am now debating returning to this project and finally adding those archaeological sites I've been meaning to add for ages lol

Does this mod add ability to open or close the L-gates? I really want to play as turtle empire that only resides in L cluster.

@qwerty Hey! This is my first time hearing about that mod, so honestly no clue if it's compatible. It most probably isn't, considering that it adds new L-Cluster events. But feel free to give it a try and see what happens if you want to be sure.
