Medium Bike Friendly Roundabout Roads - Green Bike Lane

This is a set of two medium-width roads that allows you to create bike friendly roundabouts without the need of additional mods, because the nodes are already textured as you build. Simply create a roundabout using the Inner Road, then upgrade the first segment of each approaching road with the Approach Road.




↔️ The Inner Road is 22-metre wide (non-standard), the Approach Road is 32-metre wide (standard width for medium roads);

🧱 Chevroned edge (apron). The arrow follows the direction of traffic (only for right-hand traffic, unfortunately the arrow doesn't flip on nodes in left-hand traffic city; it does flip on segments. If you know how to flip it on nodes, please let me know);

🏝️ Refuge islands to protect your pedestrians;

🚌 Bus stops enabled;

🌉 Elevations enabled and tunnels rendered;

🎨 Normal-mapped curb (rough texture);

🚸 Crossing disabled and no inner pedestrian pavement on the Inner Road;

🏘️ Zoning disabled on the Inner Road;

♿ Step-free access to the zebra crossing. Thanks clus for the idea;

📀 DLC required: After Dark for the bike lanes. Mass Transit for the flags used to connect the bike lanes on the node. Apart from that, the roads can be used without mods. Use TM:PE to better control the traffic flow and the IMT to further detail the node.




1️⃣ Use the Inner Road for the perimeter of the roundabout. You can use the Roundabout Builder;

2️⃣ Use the Approach Road for the first segment of roads approaching the Inner Road;

3️⃣ You can connect the Inner Road to other vanilla roads, and you will only have the bike lane connected to the inner road itself, not with the vanilla road;

4️⃣ You can use the Approach Road anywhere in the city, as all elevations are enabled (tunnels are rendered) and bus stops are enabled. The game will see the road as a gravel road, which means all gravel-only junctions will not trigger transition nodes. To avoid this, just add a non-gravel road to the junction:
