Coca Cola Locomotive (DXC 5333)

(No. 2 of the Coke trilogy)

There are a few real locomotives that have been done-up as Coke advertisements, but I wanted to do something relatively simple for this re-skin. It's based on the Coke truck I saw when I was walking past my local supermarket, and that was how I got the idea for these three re-skins.

DXC 5333 is indeed a real locomotive. She was originally numbered as DX 2631, and built by General Electric in 1976. 2631 entered service in June 1976, but was only two years old when - in 1978 - she was renumbered to DX 5333. Now the locomotive is still in service with KiwiRail, having been reclassified as a DXC back in September 2009.
