Early Events

This mod is a collection of all of my early event mods (Early Aztecs, Early Crusades, Early Mongols, Early Turkics, and Early Vikings). It gives you the option of enabling a few events at the beginning of the game that would not show up for quite some time otherwise. I have done this without harming any vanilla files, so feel free to use this with other mods!

This mod contains:

• Early Aztecs

• Early Vikings

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO ANY OF THESE IF YOU ARE USING THIS MOD--it will lead to duplicate events. You can subscribe to each mod separately if you do not want the full collection.


Currently, this mod adds in a few events that can be turned on or off with game rules:

• Force the Sunset Invasion to occur at the beginning of any given game
  
• Enable Crusades, Jihads, and Great Holy Wars from the beginning of any given game
  
• Force the Mongol Invasion to occur at the beginning of any given game
  
• Forces the spawning of the Turkic conquerors at the beginning of the game (or as soon as possible)
  
• Enable the Viking Age from the beginning of any given game (started before the proper Viking Age)

As far as I can tell, there are no other mods that accomplish these tasks without modifying vanilla files. I have added in separate events that are identical to the vanilla events, with the exception that they fire at the beginning of a game. This ensures maximum compatibility, especially with mods that alter many vanilla files.

I did some testing and did not encounter any errors, but I am not entirely familiar with all of these systems, so let me know if I have made any mistakes.


This mod should have no incompatibilities since it does not modify any vanilla files. However, some of the new events do rely upon the Pope existing to work, just like the corresponding vanilla events.
