[WOTC] Solo Operative

Omschrijving
Solo Operatives are Central's strongest soldiers, but they only work alone.

Commander, the intense strain of fighting against an overwhelming enemy has its toll on our solo operating men and women. These highly trained individuals will age over the course of a campaign, losing stats permanently with every battle - and it cannot be recovered...Once an Ace reaches maximum rank, their aim will cease to increase and battles will grow harder. It may be best to not send the same soldier on every mission, but I'll leave that to you to decide.

(Note that the age mechanic should only be noticeable in very long playthroughs of the game where the Solo Operative exceeds maximum rank by 4 or more missions.)

(If you don't like the aging mechanic, it can be pretty easily removed. See the comments for details.)

(This mod can be used with Community Promotion Screen rather than New Promotion Screen by Default)

There are quite a few new abilities in this mod, many are at Squaddie rank. View them in the screenshots (though some are different in WOTC, you'll see)

I've turned what started out as a glitch into a thematic element that is Double Reloads. There's even an ability (Blankshot) which turns that negative occurrence into a good thing.

Hardcore always puts the soldier into sickbay, even if they complete the mission flawlessly. This (and the -6 HP loss on mission start) balances its raw power as a +6 damage perk.

So after playing a LOWTC playthrough I have to say this is one of my favs, with beta strike enabled, you are sometimes faced with 25 plus enemies, with HP the length of a train.

Just wondering if the multiple "Fire pistol" abilities is a bug because I'm playing with long war of the chosen/another mod or just a bug with the mod itself, and if so is there a way to fix it on my side by editing one of the ini files?

I put the operative on the first story mission with the extraction of the phial. and I do not understand how the blackmail ability works. he consistently gives 4 out of 4 kills per turn, but does not want to go into invisibility. is this a problem with the balance of story missions? or is the problem that he has a phial in his pocket? or is the problem in the mod? or is the problem in my xcom build

@FureiruDusha - Nice. Smart way around that.

@reinhartalvaro - I've seen this as well. Since by default the character would have either a sword or a pistol, having both can cause this issue depending on the mods being used. But I believe it is visual-only, so the game should work even when the pistol isn't shown.

The Sidearm doesn't appear sometimes, not sure why
