Aquarius Reef Base

描述
The Aquarius Reef Base is a underwater habitat (in real life located off the coast of Key Largo, Florida at a depth of 19M).
Here is a really cool video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3qqO8yQswg

In game, I attempted to replicate the base as closely as possible to its real life counterpart, with a few excpetions.
Not least of which is mine is funded and operated by the University of Storm Works, Dreimor :D

To make the base more "useful" to the player I made it capable of depths upto 100M. To deploy this base and it's buoy you will likely require a VERY large ship to lift, and carry it to it's destination. That is why I included a mission to the Wyvern Plateau; and for the sake of time I would reccomend if you wish to explore other locations you follow a similair process. By all means please upload them, I'd love to explore the locations you find aswell!

OPERATION:
First of all, The Aquarius Reef base DOES NOT HAVE scuba or dive gear aboard! It has facilites for recharging said equipment (5 scuba/dive suits) but does not have any itself. You will need to bring your own from the surface.

-Powering the Aquarius, The base has a limited supply of electricity and is dependant on the Life Support Buoy on the surface. Before diving to the base board the Life Support Buoy* extend the umbilical to an appropriate length (add some slack to account for high seas and possible Tsunami's). The umbilical connects to the deck above the wet porch.
*Refer to the description for the Life Support Buoy for operation.

-Once the umbilical is attached enter the habitat and power up all systems using the breakers. These control all internal and external lighting, the pumps, the platform 'legs', the seabed anchors, and a few other systems.

-Next raise the platform using the labeled levers, observe the TILT gauge to ensure the platform remains level. If you tip to far to one side or the other you will hear an alarm and water will flood the wet porch. At depths over 50M the pumps cannot pump the water out. So be sure to always keep the habitat level.

-Lower the outboard platforms, one of which has the 'Gazebo' (white Gumdrop looking thing). These platforms can be used for whatever you so desire. In real life I've seen pictures of science experiments on them, as well as extra scuba tanks. The sky is the limit, have fun!

-The Gazebo probably services some useful purpose, as to what it is, I have no clue. There is really no reasone to make it functional ingame other then for giggles. To connect the gazebo extend the hose from the reel behind it and connect the fluid connectors. Provided you have all the electrical breakers on the pumps will drain the water from within. Getting inside can be a bit tricky, its as if there is a force field impeding your entrance. However, said "force field" also seems to keep the water out...win some you loose some. Best and most reliable way to enter the gazebo is to go underneath it, grab both handles on the roof together, then look level with the horizon and attempt to swim/walk around. Eventually you should pop up inside. Release one hand and put your dive suit in the recharging station. If you release both hands, you will likely fall out and drown before you can get back in. Someimes you can get lucky and jump in, but that tends to be hit and miss.

If your curious about the ACTUAL reef base I recommend their website: https://aquarius.fiu.edu/

You can take a virtual tour or if there is an active mission you can watch a live stream!
Very cool stuff!!!

Hope you enjoy the Aquarius Reef Base!

UPDATE: 14 APR 2019
Changed the spotlights to more appropriate scaled ones.

Are you interested in having TV screens or Camera's in the Aquarius, like the real thing? Then check these out!

Kieran Vax'ilian, there are levers to do so within the base itself.
Be warned however, that this build is VERY old and in desperate need of an upgrade.
Sorry for the trouble.

ninjabreadvan, it uses pumps, but it reality this thing is in desperate need of an update by me, sorry. So many projects, so little time.

kittenpaws453532, IF the mission still works after all these years, you'll can find the Aquarius at the Wyvern Plateau. I hope that helps. I keep putting it off (in favor of new projects) but this thing is in desperate need of an update. Regardless, I hope you enjoy it!

matthew.fumia, you will likely need a big crane and big ship/barge to move it. Might I suggest using the mission instead. i hope that helps.

how would you get it out of the area you spawned it in

3.6 rumpkins, that is true, unfortunately things like descriptions and waypoints are (as far as I'm aware) all missing.

The devs added a " test mission " button to the mission editor so in theory your missions should all still work .
