It got a little steamy, just a little bit. So zoey opened up her jacket to let off heat.

The model is skin compatible and the shirt is its own texture.

skin, yes. that means textures only.
both this and the other mod edit the model however. that is not a skin

Well duh.
Both mods edit the same model files. You can't "combine" models ingame.
You'd need to decompile both and merge them, then recompile.
