Ideas for Dungeons Of Dredmor Mods
A discussion about mod ideas that (hopefully) modders will read and make them reality.
For example: I think someone should make a Dragonborn skill, with abilities such as "Fus Ro Dah" and "Summon Odahving". Any ideas welcome!

I was thinking about a skill called Kleptomancy. It would start similar to the first level of burglar with you being able to take an item from vending machines. In highter levels there would be an increased chance to "steal" a random item every time you open a door to a new room. You would also get better levels in dodge and sneak because you get better at taking stuff when no one is looking. At the highest level would be the skill "Clean them out" where you can enter a room and "steal" every visible item without touching them. This would require a huge cool down to prevent over use.

Another related idea I had was a "Wand of Klepto" It would always be an artifact so it never shows it's real name. However when you have used up all the charges, it will dump a load of items it has "stolen". This is triggered when it becomes a burnt out wand and not before. So if it had 8 charges it would dump 8 items appropriate to the level.

I have no skill at modding, so if anyone wants these ideas, I will help if I can, so go for it.

I think that the real game skill is better nevermind.

Maybe mod which increases smthing crafting weapons and shields (crossbows?), like bolts - with lvl 6 tinkering you get ingeneosly scythed (forgot correct word) bolts instead of normal ones - this can be with smithing weapons, shields and tinkering crossbows - you get better things instead of crafting normal ones if you have better lvl. Example - you get worst sword with smithing lvl 0, rough with lvl1, normal with 2-3, fine with 4-5 and artifact swords with 6-8 (smithing with clocwork knight skills or mods).

Or perhaps a Crossbow skill tree that uses mana to 'cast' bolts?

I(\ve been playing with the idea of a "Chess Mastery" skill. Each level would be a different peice with buffs and abilities to match. For example, the Rook level would allow for creating a tower like barrier around yourself to allow for healing or blocking attacks. the Knight would teleport in the classic L shape. the bishop would have light or holiness based power, etc.

skill synergy overlay at the character creation screen (i.e. a colored border overlay if one skill boosts another one) would be a fantastic mod :)
