Hide parking spaces?
Anyone know how to hide the "square" that appears when you create a parking space in a building.
For example if you create a $VEHICLE_PARKING_PERSONAL there appears a parking square around the parking spot when you place/use the building - is it possible to remove this any way?
I tried changing the y-value of the coords but that didn't work, they still appear at the same (y-)level as roads do.

You can edit the file
..\SovietRepublic\media_soviet\paths\parking.dds
Just leave the background transparent and erase the white frame.

but it isnt something you can do inside your own mod? so the mods i upload will always have the white frames?

You can cover them up with false road decking that hovers above the ground a bit.

Decking? You mean the dead roads? Or is it like an object from the buildingeditor I can use?

It would have to be a physical object, not something in the script. I am not sure if there is any road decking in the editor. But it can be done in blender.

Yeah I'll see what can be done. I used objects before to cover up the parking spaces but it just results in plane clipping in certain angles and longer distances - so while I can do this it wont be a pretty end result.

you can hide them under ground by going into the vehice station or vehicle parking coordinates in building.ini
and lowing the height that they are so they are just below the ground

0.000 usually is height, change it to 0.001

It doesn't really work. I tried changing the height of the vehicle parking, both positive and negative heights. I even tried changing the coords of the $CONNECTION_ROAD_DEAD to see if maybe the road could cover it up but nothing changes. It is all rendered at the same height even if you change the coords height.

Okay I finally figured out how to hide the parking lines.
If you make the parking space small enough the game wont create any lines, around 1m or less in length.
So if anyone else stumbles upon the discussion, this is the solution: Have a short length for the parking space to hide it.
