(SOLVED) Creating own PROP messed the whole Contend Pack
Hi,
i was creating some Props for my CP. One of them wasnt good enough and i decide to delete it. Was deleting the file from cp/data/probs/ and so on. Then i refresh my cp and continue working. As i want to test, the scene refuse to load. Pressing F1 shows me that there is an error, because he couldnt find the file description for exactly the file i just deleted.

Ok, so there is another reference somewhere to that file, that have to be erased too, i thought.
So i startet a program for searching all files inside the cp folder for the exact string (barrens_signs_pna). Result:

Nothing

So, do somebody knows where the game has another reference to this file?

This seems to be the references of a signpost in Seattle The Barrens. I found no such reference barrens_signs_pna in Seattle files anyway. Is this the name you gave to a panel you erased later on ? It would have replaced the original name and make yours prevalue.

Can you verify file integrity to get it sorted?

@fredingue: PNA stand for "Puyallup Night Affairs". Thats a night club in my CP. So i named the billboard "barrens_signs_pna" but im sure, that i have used the CP folder and not some of the original Steam-Folders. I was using billboard13 as template.

@dasKindt: What did you mean? is there some kind of an Verification function?

From the Steam menu you can right click on Shadowrun and access the Properties menu. There's an option in there to verify the file integrity for your game.

That could restore the file if you accidentally changed a core file.

Ah thats what you mean. Yes, did that and also a complete reinstall of the game. Its like i sayed: Its something inside my UGC that i cant point in the files. Everything you do is written in the textfiles, i searched in each of them for this string...

Will start to copy one by one now .. will cost me a few weeks -.-

Edit: i just make a new CP copy all the files, refresh everything, renew the Story variables and now.. it works! So.. there must be something temporary where i dont know of it.
