Would an .ALO/.ALA converter be possible?
To specify, I am asking whether or not if converting a .ALO to an .fbx file or .obj file for editing in a 3d modeling software such as blender or 3ds max would be possible. I believe in the past, people have used unofficial tools to accomplish this task, however those tools seem to be out of date for TGW. I believe this would have useful applications for just editing vanilla content, and giving modders reference to work off of when creating new models from scratch. For example, swapping out the weapon of a base model, like for the standard infantry, to a sub machine gun or editing the model geometry to give it early war headgear, then all one would have to do is remap the bones to the new geometry and the UV map (i may be simplifying a little). From my current understanding, It would be a much easier process than creating an entirely new Infantry model, rigging, creating new animations and fx. I understand if this is beyond budget, but would go a long way for us to begin adding new models to TGW.

An alternative for a converter could also be in the form of giving us templates of the models of every unit in .fbx or .obj format, so they we could still repackage them into .ALOs.
