Workshop Uploader Error
Currently trying to upload a mod that changes around pricing of structures / emplacements... very simple value changes. Workshop uploader will A) not load preview image, and B) change the file path name that I enter, removing the backslashes, the "S" in steam, etc. It will then sit infinitely on "Validating mod pack, and refuse to upload. Is anyone else having this issue? I would be more than grateful for some assistance.

Funny i've been doing the very same thing.

Uploader has a couple of quirks i've yet to fully grasp.
When it changes the file path, are you sure it's not you closing the uploader after having entered a path in your file?
I've had issues but not the same as yours.

Make sure that the preview image you used is saved as a .png. When you type in the file name, it should say "thumbnail.png" without the quotation marks.

Does it have to be titled as "thumbnail"? Also I enter the upload path in my .json file, and then the uploader displays the path as incorrect, thus updating the Json file to be incorrect as well. No idea why.

Hi, I also had an issue with uploading with doing the following (any one of those can solve it for you):

1. make sure the image is 520x520 pixels
2. is png format and is named thumbnail.png
3. if doesn't work, delte the app data of the game (%appdata%) and reinstall the game

weird, i had it as 600x600 jpg.

...the example mod the devs made had it as 600x600 jpeg.

In the Github of the guy who made this app, it says that some users will experience this kind of weird errors, and he doesn't know why.

I have the thumbnail saved as "thumbnail", the image type is a PNG, it's in my mod folder, but every time I enter the path to the image, the uploader removes letters and characters from it, making it invalid. I am unable to past the path into the uploader directly as well, as it is grayed out.

Try putting in the folder where your mod folder is, instead of in it (one up) so that no path is needed.

I'm 100% sure this will fix it.

The PNG was the issue. I had it at the incorrect size and folder path. Seems like the item was able to upload fine with the image resized to 528 x 528, and then placed in the folder with the "Data" and the "Greatwarmod" xml. Not sure if renaming the png to "thumbnail" helped, but I did it anyways just to be on the safe side.
