Point is, while I get that this was posted in the workshop area, American Truck Simulator is a game about driving semi trucks. Nowhere does SCS advertise about driving pickups, cargo vans, or anything of that nature. If one wants to use mods for driving other vehicles, more power to them. But they will still drive like big trucks because the physics engine in the game is specifically tailored to it, not smaller vehicles.
And by the way, whoever claimed that the small vehicles feel like heavy trucks probably hasn't tested them, and I use one and it works well and doesn't feel like a heavy truck, but I understand that they are talking about very old versions since it was changed.
If anything, I'd recommend FiveM servers on GTAV for things like that. Plenty of RP and non-RP servers that do exactly what you want, including more.
I'd recommend Transport Tycoon(FiveM server).
Except Pavel has said they are open to the idea of expanding the game into other types of delivery vehicles including vans in future. But the immediate focus is trucks.
If rigids ever happen, then the next logical step will be vans.
