maybe not a good idea to sink time at making or converting copyrighted material
for now i see very rarely originals design in the workshop
and i agree than for now the pirated are the most nices
would that include the tyranid mod etc?
everything w40k and warhammer is a hazard especially if you spend lot of time at doing work on it
not sure if steam can be threatned for hosting them
I think i also heard something a while ago about games like this one who open things up to the modding community to build their product and its value to consumers, being at risk of a cease and desist. Because if your allowing the community to make the mods, but your indirectly profiting from blatant IP theft in the process, isnt doing nothing to moderate it the same as stealing the models / animations / skins in the first place?
I wish i remembered the article/game it was in relation too. But it does sound so familiar.
I will say tho.. big 40k battles on tts2 are scratching an itch no 40k game out there can scratch at the moment. And it could be so much more / and so much better. But the moment it becomes too good and too popular, the legal team will enter the game.
SPEAKING OF WHICH - Someone should mod a Games-workshop Lawyer model with a brief case. So you can briefly, but gloriously, put all the GW stolen IP content into the game and have them fight against an army of lawyers.
obvivously the lack of moderation here tend to make him suporter at least
but a host like steam workshop is guilty if hosting copyrighted materials because copying pasting distributing it even using robots or maybe worst by
obivously their is no crime if the copyright owner take/share profit of that infrigement or just accept it
from what i know their is never legal qwithout a complaint
their is a diference in the generic dragon and the 3d model of relic game
some specific design are maybe similar to many others like a dollar is similar to an euro but i advice you to dont copy both
