portable inter-actable touch pads?

ES map editor noob here. I cant seem to figure out how to activate or animate certain types of screens.

first, how do i add animations to (for example) TV's, Monitors, etc.?

second, i want to do the above, but to a portable touch pad of some kind. how can i do this?

There is no built in way yet.

Everyone has been doing swap-tricks as a puppet theater and nobody notices.

You had an object with a texture and make it span the monitor screen.
Then duplicate it for however many frames you want.
Then stitch the events where they replace each others position after a set amount of time.

Everything stays hidden behind a wall, and gets swapped in with a duration of 0.
Depending on how fast you want to play this manual 'gif' you can set the delay to 0 or however you want.
