you have to be in the same Clan/faction as the unit is in and you have to attack people who are at war with that faction to get contribution points to level up your title it'll take awhile for sure :)

what your looking for is your title in a faction(chief, deputy, captain, cant remember 4 atm, and general) also cant remember if that's the right order been a while since i was in someone else's faction. i got mine from a mix of taking towns for the dkahn, doing quests for the other generals(ex.ursala) and helping the dkahn when they made a move on taking over a town(i took like 4 on my own and assisting with 6. so for a snapshot of what i had was 10 bases taken for them 78 favor with the faction overall, 30+ rep with the leader +4 other generals and on day 262(idk if the day is relevant at all) and that put me at general.
