The group parts and save as part feature don't seem very useful...
...because the disappear when you try to upload them. I'm trying to make some moving gears, but the gear like parts are a 1/4 circle so I need several of them and they're easier to work with if they're grouped. But grouping them or saving them as a part and placing them as one seems to make the ineligible to be uploaded. What up with that? Is this a technical limitation that can't be fixed or a bug that can?

If you use any saved custom group of parts you cannot connect anything to the copies. If you do the scaling goes crazy. Also have problems when using a custom part made on a different scale ship.

Big and Red. If you make custom ship parts using the medium scale starter block you can scale that part smaller or larger to accomadate most any scale size hull. I mainly make my ship parts using Medium scale starter save it as a ship part and then scale it to the size hull I am using it for.
