All i can say about Florida is it's sunny, but right now it's cold! not sure if you use Celsius over there, but it's currently 8 Degreees Celsius. Gosh seems like a GREAT time to surf! :P

I can only do bodyboarding right now, it's fun! but i want to learn full surfing. I tried before, did OK for a beginner, but like i said, I tore a chunk of rubber out of my wetsuit's front! it's not a huge hole, and not a leak, but if you fill the suit with water it leaks a bit :O

oh cool, but funny, when my Aussie friend went surfing (1st and only time he's gone xD), he rented a full suit. the short sleeves/legs are called shorties, same kind i wear :D

I have 2 wetsuit, my old Ski-Warm thing with a hole in the butt (NOT my fault!!! xD) and long sleeves, and my super-stretchy "Gotcha Gear" brand one. never heard of the brand before but it's awesome! I took a chunk off rubber out of it the last time i was surfing, though, just a good reason to put money down on a full suit i guess xD

We don't have geothermal stuff in Florida, at least i don't think, but who needs it, it's Florida! :P

It's not surfing season yet either, but I can't wait for it! again, wish i had a full suit for winter surfing! :P

The water can get pretty nice down here (on the Nrth Island, anyways). Actually, we have some of the hottest water around at this one beach! (even though it's geothermal lol) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Water_Beach

What brand/style wetsuit do you wear? I'm guessing a full suit, can't imagine the water being very warm down in New Zealand, but i could be very wrong! I've never been out of Florida/Georiga! :P

The beaches are OK where i live, but they can be crowded at times (Welcome to Florida!) and the waves aren't that great, for now! :P
