does anyone have any ideas on detecting how large a crystal has grown with wire? the mass, radius, and even distance from base to masscenter stay completely the same, does any detectable variable change as a tiberium crystal grows?

@Yuri Ive been extremely busy, and spacebuild is sort of dead and not really giving me any motivation. Maybe when something for s&box comes out or if a spacebuild standalone happens. I may just make improvements to this version and see if it can be made better. The main issue is the textures of some of the models like the crystals redering in the wrong order.

@=GonTar= there isnt much that can be done to reduce the CPU use except to use an experiemental multithreaded lua dll module.

this is the fixed version, yes it does use a lot of cpu too. it needs optimising. have you tried disabling all other mods to see if theres a conflict. because it does work for me for the most part

Also Tib cristals consume too much CPU, when they try to expand and are more than 30 on a field, is there a github where i can find the code of the fixed version to see what's causing these issues and send you a quick fix? :heart:

i REALLY want this mod to Work, but it actually it can only spawn tiberium that spreads and harms the players, please take a minute to mend/fix this little issue, every Item and entity you MUST use to work with tiberium just breaks your game the moment you press E to use it.

And sends this error:

Freezing the Menu on your screen, and you can't escape that menu, you have to restart the Game.

I LOVE THIS MOD, i want to be able to use it, please at least give it a try :heart::heart: :heart:

Well modelling is the one thing i cant really do, i was planning on dealing with things one at a time, doing code first.

I'm wondering on how you are planning to proceed with what you mentioned, about remaking the addon, maybe there is something i can do to help, maybe make new models ETC but anyway, it would be nice to know where this is being developed

many people have asked for large ish changes to be made to things in this. This could be an issue as it would break peoples current dupes as the machine would perform very differently. Let me know if this is ok or if i should maybe release a seperate rewrite/rework version.

thats the way it worked way back in gmod 12. The warhead is broken and the original author stripped away all the old code so id have to re create it all from scratch.

When making a tiberium warhead, does the tiberium mix matter? Also, it would be cool if you could make a tiberium seed warhead and launch the missile to other planets to start growing tiberium.

spacebuild 3 works fine if you are using the proper one, and dont use spacebuild 2 at the same time.

(oooooooooh the spacebuild 3 is not compatible with the tiberium addon so..... it gives me an error that says "invlaid combination"

huh intresting i found a glitch that when i open the dispenser or factory menu there's nothing in there and i cannot manufacture anything and also i'm stuck with the mini menu. could you please fix this?

I noticed some Unused models in the files, it seems like it could be used to optimise the addon and lead to much bigger Tiberium fields, an idea would be say, having 4 full sized crystals in one area, will be removed and the much larger crystal bed, will be spawned in the area, this bed can be harvested but will no longer check its surroundings to spread, saving on CPU usage.

The idea of the crystal going unchecked could cause hast amounts of wasteland that would need to be cleared.

Also, if you were to carry on creating this addon, i would be willing to pay you for your trouble.

b) I've been using this mod for a while now, and was just curious as to what happened to the parent crystals creating "child" crystals, I even tried a growth accelerator with no luck, is this supposed to happen?

c) not really even a problem UwU, just wondering if it was a choice to make tiberium parents glow white with dynamic lighting instead of their respective color, or just a bug :3

I like power plants not consuming tiberium personally, however liquifiers do in order to boost reactors making them work better, so using the two together seems like it'd work for what u want :3
That's not even what I came here for though lol, I was just curious about a couple of things:

a) this lua error that occurs when trying to use the dispenser as well as a blank window that can only be closed via restarting the map, kinda a pain but I guess I can settle for being doomed to death when coming in contact with tiberium x3

i removed the entry in the panel for it since it wasnt syncing for servers anyways so it was basically broken, the convar still exists though. I will eventually redo the admin settings panel to work properly.

I know i am a repeated Thorn in your side but :P hope your year is going well, and i would really like the Tiberium powerplants to consume Tiberium :) even if it is just 1 or so per second. Also it seems like you removed the ability to customise the Max Tiberium field size.

I agreed with the things Yuri says, also i just dont see the advantage of using tiberium for energy generation with the current output. Do the different missile warheads actually have a different effect or is it just for show?

if you can fix the powerplants not consuming Raw tib that would be awesome

also. i know that i can do it and i have but the storage tanks need rebalincing imo.
Small container 1000 increase to 5000 for Raw, Refined, Liquid, energy
Medium container increase to 20,000 for Raw, Refined, Liquid, energy
Large container increase to 100,000 for Raw, Refined, Liquid, energy

this seems a lot better balanced

and finally the factory appears invisible apart from the control console for it, it does build but not the item that i select and it says it is building.
