Simply put this was made for a now defunct RP server, and back in the '60s when the M16A1 was the service rifle the 20 round mags had feeding issues and GIs would only put 17 in to combat that issue

Why does this M16 addon the mags hold 17 ammo when the M16 in real life the mags holds 20 ammo?
