I found out how to keep steam version from crashing - go to workshopcontent folder in main game folder, copy all files from 954344759 to 954367208. That's it, launch mod normally. I used 5025 beta just in case, but it might work on current game version.
Mod authors, maybe you can merge main mod and scripts mod to fix it for everyone? Or include it the description.

You don't need to install manually anything. Just subscribe, and follow the "How to start" instruction.
