This mod provides a MUCH more logical, base game experience by preventing Horthy from leading the game's psuedo-Arrow Cross party. Before you sperg out and leave condescending comments, I suggest you read the title of the mod. The emphasis is on checksum friendly HOS portraits, party, and country names, not attempting to rewrite country.

Considering there are no vanilla flavor events pertaining to the Arrow Cross, extremely restrictive ideological paths, and international law preventing their inclusion in HOI4. I see no point in attempting to include them in this game. Furthermore the Arrow Cross regime was incredibly short lived and ultimately a failure. Would it be cool if in 1944 the player got an event that Horthy's son had been kidnapped and the nation was about to fall apart? Yes. But that isn't what we got and it isn't what we were given to work with.

You have to understand that there are limitations to what's allowed in iron man mode. Completely rewriting Hungary would invalidate the checksum and render iron man unusable. The purpose of this mod is to provide a more semi-historically accurate Hungary while allow the player to earn achievements.

But Horthy wasnt also a leader of FgKp, Zoltán Tildy was the leader of FgKP.
He also wasnt the leader of MÉP/NÉP, Gyula Gömbös and Béla Imrédy were the leaders of it.

You clearly can't read lol. Moving Horthy away from the "fascist" label is the entire point of this mod. By default he is the party leader of the Arrow Cross, which is grossly inaccurate and implies that he lead the party that overthrew his own government and kidnapped his son.

It should be evident that the game's ideological classifications are EXTREMELY broad. This mod was created in order to provide something ~slightly~ more accurate.

Being a fan of Bela Kun is like being a fan of Ferenc Szálasi, at least Horthy had some humanity. Horthy recognized the danger of a system of beliefs, like marxism, that lead societies to be morally, and economically bankrupt. Sadly he decided to join forces with the nazis, miscalculating
hitler, a man who would rival and often surpass the evil of the bolsheviks. Horthy was an admitted anti-semite, but his actions in 1944 directly helped to save upwards of 250,000 jews in Hungary. It could well be argued, that Horthy, saved more jews during the war than anyone else in Europe, outside of the liberating allied armies...Thank you Unmutual this is a good mod, and idea, to fix a definite problem within the game.
