This must be in base game. Makes no sense to sell or not store what is needed in next dungeon anyway. Nor all items go to waste like food.

@legion items only give back a % of what you used to buy them when you sell them back at the end of a run.

Do you only get money for the items you didn't use? Cause I tried it once years ago and the fact that I couldn't get my money back for the items I purchased and didn't use.

False, most items sold after a quest are only refunded for around 30% or less of their base cost.
