right click your game in the library then select properties then go to the betas tab and select lastes changes beta

I forgot to inform you that your game needed to be using the beta patch.

@J3lackSunn To be able to build a ship you downloaded you will have to go to build mode and click on the saved ships button then find the ship you downloaded select it then click apply plan
